THE SPACE BEES TRILOGY (May - July 2026)

The lecture to the Ladies Of Over Wyre back in April had taken something of a toll on Jaxx, we weren't actually that certain there would be any more sales. Functional Neurological Disorder had been gathering momentum for some months and this lecture, delivered entirely on her feet (yes, we'd provided a stool, but you know how stubborn teenagers can be!), really knocked the poor child down for a while. Nevertheless, there's always something that can be done to help the bees, so we came up with the idea of "Space Bees Save The Universe", a special three part series on the radioshow. Although Twizz was already very established as Jaxx by this point, she was still happy to play the part of the Captain's daughter as Twizz Sigma, it's for a good cause after all. We figured at worst it would help raise awareness amongst our listeners, and at best raise some extra pennies through the release of the special souvenir album. You can find details of all three shows, along with listen links and pictures, plus information about the excellent compilation album by the artists who had created tracks especially for the series, right here with a click...

Jaxx's cakes and cheese and olive scones disappeared at quite some speed due to their deliciousness, pleased to say all went quite well. Oh, and mummy is better now...

So, tails up for the following month and back to the three of us, FTBC sale number 9 took place at the local social club. Well, you can read the where and when on the poster, so I won't bother repeating it all here. Jaxx stuck to 'bees & bake' for this one, so it was just leaflets, bee paraphernalia and some extremely yummy cakes, much of which we ended up eating ourselves. Sadly, the event wasn't that well supported, which must have been a big disappointment to all the youngsters who had put so much work in. But in the end, every penny counts! Roll on the Christmas Fayre...
