IMMR - L'Objet Sonore
Experimental sounds from
Mike Edwards, the man behind In My Room Radio (which, being on the spectrum,
drives me mad coz it's IMRR instead of IMMR, which shouldn't be allowed!), based in North Carolina. New
album "The Atonal Life" out now (just downloaded that, thanks, Mike), this
track from "A Boyish Chameleon"...

Star Period Star - When Where Exceeds What
Extremely talented offbeat
prog band from Savannah, Georgia, who have been with us all the way from the
days of cassette culture and Music & Elsewhere. This month, we featured an
alternate mix from the bonus CD that accompanies the special edition of
the
album "Daylight Spending Time". I got it on clear vinyl, very cool, na-na
na-nah-na....

09. Radiant Moon
- We Are One
Stockton, New Jersey this
time, and yet another extremely talented prog band, albeit less offbeat and
more melodic, and what great fun it is playing things like this on the show
and confusing the hell out of Garry Lee. And I quote; "Oops, error! That
can't be Mick's show playing, that's actual music!"

10. Cock
Batteth - Ding Dong
The finest punk band in
Blackpool, fronted by our Skit's crush, Natalie Bear, though he's currently
not allowed within 250 lightyears of her due to an interstellar restraining
order. Had the pleasure of seeing and meeting the band supporting 999 and
Dead Pollys in Preston last year. Nice peeps, interesting hats. This track
from their wondrous debut E.P., "Bog Standard". Well it was, they seem to
have taken
it off now? Life. Of course,
we had to beep the 'fuck' out for the KOWS version of the show, U.S. radio
regulations
et al, but the track remains
untouched on the others. As does Natalie Bear, courtesy of the
aforementioned restraining order. Which Skit thinks is a love letter. He'll
be crushed if he ever learns to read...

11. Gary Rostock
- Aftermath
Ex James man (I probably did
the joke about him being kicked out of the band because he refused to sit
down last time, so I'll shut up) and electronic musician based in the Czech
Republic these days, but from round our way originally, apparently has a
sister in Knott End, his musical composition about which (Knott End, not his
sister) first brought him to our attention. Small world. Though I probably
wouldn't want to walk it. Just coz they put Ireland out of the World Cup on
penalties, no reason not to play a track by someone who lives there...
